Cash trail of Imran Khan’s UK flats incomplete

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan admitted on Saturday that he does not have complete money trail regarding his London flats.

A declaration submitted by PTI chief’s counsel Naeem Bukhari in the Supreme Court stated that county cricket does not keep records which are more than 20 years old. Therefore, the evidence of playing county cricket and income earned through it was not available. There is no record of the schedule of Mr Khan’s job either, the document stated.

Besides, the document said that Mr Khan played county cricket for Worcestershire and Sussex from 1971 to 1988. It was also mentioned that he was paid £61,000 initially, and the total sum of £1,17,000 was paid in 1989. It was claimed that Mr Khan did not launder any money as he earned $75,000 from Kerry Packer series and $50,000 from New South Wales, Australia.
