Comio unveils its new S1 lite and C2 lite smartphones

These budget phones are designed for youth and are priced at Rs 7499 for S1 lite and Rs 5999 for C2 lite, says the company.

Comio India has launched two new budget smartphone models today, namely – Comio S1 Lite and C2 Lite. The company claims that ‘these smartphones are targeted for youth; In fact, the S1 Lite and C2 lite have been designed according to the Indian youth’s feedback.’ These phones are priced at Rs 7499 for S1 lite and Rs 5999 for C2 lite.

ComioComio S1 Lite

The Comio S1 Lite sports a uni-body design with curved edges and is available in three colour variants namely Ocean Blue, Royal Black and Sunrise Gold. This phone features a 5-inch HD IPS display, 2GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage and is powered by a 3050mAh battery. The phone is equipped with 1.3Ghz quad-core processor. It boasts with a 13MP rear and an 8MP front camera and with added features such as Beauty, Bokeh, Panorama, Watermark, HDR, Filter and Smile Capture effects.

ComioComio C2 Lite

The C2 lite comes with a 5-inch HD IPS Display and is available in Sunrise Gold, Royal Black and Metallic Grey. It features Comio UI based on stock Android 7.0 Nougat. It is equipped with 1.3Ghz quad-core processor. It packs a 3,900mAh battery and the company claims its backup up to two days with up to 27 hours talk time and a standby time of 270 hours. The C2 Lite comes with an 8MP auto-focus lens at the rear and 5MP selfie camera, both include flash. It comes with 16GB of internal storage and expandable up to 128GB.

The devices are also embedded with the Freezer Application. The Freezer app allows you to use as many applications as possible without any RAM constraints.

These phones come with a Venus Browser, which claims to offer a lightweight web platform for smartphone users with simple functionalities like browsing, app store and services. The company says that Venus is the first Indian browser solution providing hyper-regional content covering major Indian states. The browser also supports 22 regional Indian languages.

These smartphones come with an anti-theft feature preloaded in all handsets. In case of any suspicious activity, SIM-based alerts are shared with the registered mobile number. One of the interesting features of anti-theft is the ‘intruder selfie’. In other words, when someone tries to unlock the device by trying to break the pattern or PIN, the device will automatically capture the image of the unauthorised person. Other options include shutdown blocker, data back up and SIM related functions.    

Comio Smartphones has partnered with Reliance Jio to provide cheaper packages and cashback offers for the youth. Cashback vouchers will be credited to the customer account and will be visible under “My Vouchers” in MyJio app which can be redeemed, one at a time, against recharges of Rs 198/299 plans, via MyJio app. Customer to get Rs 2,200 cashback (Rs 44X50 vouchers) at the time of first successful recharge of Rs 198/299 monthly plans, which can be redeemed from the second recharge onwards. Rs 50 each will be credited in MyJio app which can be redeemed, one at a time per recharge, against subsequent, recharges of Jio plan of Rs 198/299.

C2 Lite and S1 Lite, these phones combined with Jio offer are priced at – Rs 3,799 and Rs 5,299 respectively.
