Samsung isn’t done readying its Galaxy S9 and S9+ for global sales yet and news about their next expected flagship smartphone is already taking off. The rumoured Galaxy Note 9 phablet has started gathering momentum in the world of leaks and rumours, with Slashgear becoming one of the first sources to talk about Samsung’s ultra-premium phablet.

The report states that the Galaxy Note 9 phablet is expected to be built around the Snapdragon 845/ Exynos 9810 chipset, accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It could sport a 6.3-inch 2K super AMOLED display with support for S Pen. It could come equipped with a dual 12MP sensor with a variable aperture system for enhanced low-light photography. The Note 9 is also expected to powered by Samsung Experience 9.0 based on Android Oreo 8.0 or Oreo 8.1. It’s also expected to feature Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n for connectivity options. Lastly, it is expected to be fuelled by a 3300mAh battery.

If you are familiar with Samsung’s last two flagship launches, it’s easy to spot the fact that the rumoured Note 9 draws heavily from the existing Galaxy Note 8 and the S9+. Last year’s Note 8 borrowed most of its components highly from the S8+. The S9 series is also almost identical to last year’s S8, albeit for the camera, the processor and software. Therefore, it's easy to guess the specifications of the Note 9, unless Samsung surprises us all with a radically different device from last year’s Note 9 and Galaxy S9+.
