Disney’s Cars 3 has got kids around the world excited, with Lightning McQueen racing back to the theatres one more time. As with fans of all Disney movie franchise, they are excited about the Cars 3 and want the euphoria to stay for a few days. To cash in on this, Google has added popular characters and setups from the Cars franchise into their Toontastic app.

To recall, the Toontastic app was launched in early 2017 with the intention of letting kids go wild with their imagination when it comes to making animated short clips. The app lets the user decide the backdrop, the characters and even animate them individually to record a custom animated clip, with the option to share it on social media. Since its launch, a total of 2.5 million cartoons having a combined 24,000 hours of content has been made on Toontastic, as claimed by Google.

The ‘Cars’ update lets users choose popular characters like Lightning McQueen, Mater and other popular ones, place them in the two provided locations from the Cars universe – the Florida 500 Raceway and Thunder Hollow Demolition Derby. Users can play around with these elements and create their own Cars animated clips. However, the Cars update is available until September 30 and will be removed thereafter.

Google has also added another theme to the Toontastic app from its YouTube Red channel – Fruit Ninja Frenzy Force. This update will stay forever on the app and will let users create their own animated episodes with popular characters from the franchise.
