Soccer Starz cruise to facile 3-0 win
Soccer Starz functioned well as a unit and dominated play from the start.
Displaying good coordination and understanding, ND2 Soccer Starz cruised to a facile 3-0 win against Vibrants FC in a third round group-B league match of the third Borivali Premier Football League (BPFL) at the St. Francis D’Assisi High School ground, Borivali.
Soccer Starz functioned well as a unit and dominated play from the start. But, they had to wait till the 28th minute to break the deadlock with Denny John scoring the first goal to take his team into the break with a slender 1-0 lead.
After switching ends, Soccer Starz struck two quick goals through Dhuval Waghela in the 65th minute and in the next minute, Lanster Fernandes found the target for the third goal to seal the win. Shawn D'Souza of Soccer Starz was named ‘Player of the Match’.
Meanwhile, defending champions Fleet Footers SC continued with their winning run as they overcame Myrmidons SC by a narrow 1-0 margin. Prolific scorer Tushar Poojary netted the lone goal in the third minute. Noel Dais of Myrmidons SC won the ‘Player of the Match’ award.
