Arpita Khan’s help arrested for robbery

The Khar police has arrested the domestic help of Arpita Khan-Sharma — the younger sister of actor Salman Khan — in connection with the robbery of Rs 3.25 lakh in cash and valuables from her house. According to police officials of Khar police station, the accused, Aafsa Khan, a resident of Nallasopara area of Palghar district, was working in the house of Arpita and her husband, Aayush Sharma, for one and a half year. The police booked her under Section 381 (theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of employer) of the IPC.

Arpita resides at Pacific Heights on Sherly Rajan Road in Bandra (west). On Saturday, she gave a written complaint to the Khar police station about the theft in her house. Later, the police registered a case and started the investigation. Police officers questioned Arpita’s drivers, domestic help and other people working in the building, and during the investigation they realised that Aafsa had failed to report to work from Saturday, after which a team was dispatched to her house in Nallasopara.
