Ratnamala’s mother began accompanying her while she was on her way to the office and back.
Mumbai: The Nagpur police arrested 25-year-old Mangal Bagde for stabbing 22-year-old Ratnamala five to six times in broad daylight. The incident took place near Shingori bus depot, when Ratnamala was riding a scooter with her mother.
According to police sources, the deceased Ratnamala Rajkumar Ranangkar (22), was allegedly approached by the arrested accused Mangal Bagde for marriage. When Ratnamala did not reciprocate, Bagde, took it to heart. Bagde then started to follow her everywhere. Ratnamala strongly objected tot his and and approached the cops. Ratnamala’s mother began accompanying her while she was on her way to the office and back.
An officer on the condition of anonymity said that, “ Ratnamala was on a scooter with her mother near Shingori bus depot. Bagde, stopped Ratnamala midway and came in front of her scooter, due to which she lost her balance and fell from the scooter. Following the fall, Bagde got down stabbed her five to six times in broad daylight, right in front of the mother’s eyes.”
