Mumbai: Mumbaikars are suffering from skin ailments as a result of the dry heat, say medicos of state and civic-run hospitals. Due to the harsh October sun, children and adults alike are facing issues such as prickly heat and common fungal infections.

We see almost 200-300 people in the outpatient department, a skin specialist of state-run JJ Hospital said.

The incidents of skin disorders especially sun allergy cases, have seen a surge in 15-20 percent comparative to last year, which was 10-15 percent, says city doctors, most of the cases noted in various state and civic-run hospitals.
