Cheating is a major issue for modern day couples as a lack of trust can ruin any relationship. But while it may be considered unacceptable, many have asked why men and women cheat.

A new study puts forth the possibility that maybe men can’t help but cheat as their brains are hardwired to be promiscuous. The findings showed that men are less likely to be satisfied by one sexual partner.

Meanwhile women look for long term partners possibly because of the limit on number of children they can have. Researchers say that men have evolved this way as part of a reproductive strategy and are programmed to be less satisfied with one person.
