Sweetcorn usli (Sundal)

Ingredients  

  • 1 cup sweet corn (roasted and shredded)
  • 1 or two onions 
  • (finely chopped)
  • 1 tomato (finely chopped)
  • Three to four green chillies (finely chopped)
  • A small bunch of coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • Salt to taste.
  • 2 tbsp oil

Method

  • Take a thick bottom pan, and heat two tbsp oil. Add chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste and saute until onions turn golden brown.
  • Add chopped tomato, green chillies and saute again.
  • Add red chilli powder and garam masala powder and fry till the raw smell of the masala is gone.
  • Add roasted and shredded sweetcorn. Sprinkle salt to taste and finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot.
