Safety comes first

Close on the heels of surgical strikes across the LoC, the Centre’s move to seal the entire border in northern and western sectors with Pakistan in a couple of years is apt. This will serve the dual purpose of not only keeping infiltrators at bay but also help set up a protective shield for our forces along the border. The task is no doubt gargantuan and comes at a huge cost, but it is important that the country’s safety and security take precedence over everything else.
