Priyanka effect

No doubt that after many elections and much water down the Ganga, the Congress is making a serious pitch for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Though Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is sweating it out on the dusty roads of UP, it could be Priyanka’s presence which could tilt the scales in its favour. By default, if she is projected as the chief ministerial candidate, probably the party’s chances could improve. Here too there could be some negative “Vadra effect”. Let us wait and see the strategies of the Congress, which is on the backfoot to revive its chances.
