Loud and clear

India has done well to pack a punch against Pakistan in retaliation for the recent terrorist strike in Uri by deciding to restart construction on the Tulbul project on the Indus river, suspend meetings of the Permanent Indus Water Commission and launch construction of run-of-the-river hydel power plants on the western rivers. By turning off the tap India has sent out a strong message that it will not hesitate in cutting Pakistan to size if it refuses to mend its errant ways.
