Maoists in Bihar’s Aurangabad district killed commandos of the elite Cobra battalion of the CRPF by luring them into a low-lying forest area rigged with landmines. While four Maoists were killed in a gun battle, 10 Cobra jawans were martyred. It is sad to see the loss of life owing to left-wing extremism. Why do Maoists continue to exist Why have we not been able to take them out, or make them surrender Maoists need to be actively targeted through a dialogue or with guns to end this cycle of violence.
