Fast track cases

The case diary of eight Simi activists who escaped from Bhopal jail and later killed in an encounter is an ideal instance to introspect. All cases involving terrorism must be fast tracked to avoid delay and disruption during investigation and trial. Political parties should not politicise issues and cases of terrorism. In this particular case, the media and the people did not care to utter a word of condolence about the jail guard who was slain by the runaway Simi activists. The whole nation should have in one voice praised this martyr and lifted the morale of the police force.
