Do unto others...

The unsavoury attack on a Tanzanian woman in Bengaluru does not paint a very bright picture of a young and modern nation. We are quick to say that India is the land of Buddha and Mahatma Gandhi, peace and tolerance, but we forgot that and attacked the girl because she was African, just like the Ugandan national who had earlier run his car over a woman on that street in Bengaluru. African students choose to study in India as they consider it a good study destination. Let us not mistreat them as our youngsters are mistreated when they study abroad in the US, UK or Australia on account of their colour.
