Clean crusader

Founder of Sulabh International Bindeshwar Pathak has been named alongside Pakistani teenager Malala Yousafzai and US President Barack Obama in an inaugural Global Diversity Listing by the Economist. This list highlights the contributions of those who have used their position in public life to make an impact on diversity.

Mr Pathak used sanitation towards the upliftment of untouchables. This award is well deserved and will hopefully inspire people to follow Dr Pathak’s example and practise proper sanitation.
