: Olivier Corel, the "white emir" of the chain of Artigat in Ariege, is being directly targeted by a search conducted on Tuesday by the French police.

This is the second police raid conducted in jihadist circles in Ariege. The first raid was conducted at Olivier Corel house, a 69 year old imam suspected of being a jihadi mentor inToulouse.

The voice of Corel was identified by investigators for claiming the attacks of the November 13 Paris attacks.

Two police helicopters and numerous members of antiterrorism and computer intelligence were deployed Tuesday morning around Artigat, where the home of Olivier Corel was being searched along with other houses suspected to have connections with Islamist circles. “It is unclear if there would be arrests,” said a source close to the investigation.

According to reports, nearly 40 police vehicles have been deployed near Artigat in South West France near the Spanish Border.

Olivier Corel, French of Syrian origin, was arrested in connection with the case Merah then released. In March 2012, Mohamed Merah killed seven people in the name of jihad in Toulouse and Montauban. His victims included three soldiers, a teacher and three young students at a Jewish school.
