Defying a youth Bharatiya Janata Party leader allegedly led to a young man being shot at and beaten up in Nadia village of Rajasthan’s Jalore district on Monday evening.

Defying a youth Bharatiya Janata Party leader allegedly led to a young man being shot at and beaten up in Nadia village of Rajasthan’s Jalore district on Monday evening.

The victim Bhimaji Choudhary’s family members have lodged an FIR at Bagora police station accusing Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha district president Hinglaj Daan Charan of the brutal attack on Bhimaji after an argument. Choudhary is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Bagoda.

As per the complaint, on Monday night in Nadia village, under Bagoda police station, Charan reportedly had a heated argument with Choudhary over this issue and in a fit of anger allegedly shot at Choudhary.

The bullet missed him but he allegedly couldn’t escaped the wrath of the BJP leader and was beaten up, according to the victim’s family.

The BJP youth leader was apparently unhappy with the victim who always defied the former. “He (Charan) didn’t like it that Bhimaji ignored him and did not salute him,” they alleged.

However, Heera Ram, the station house officer of Bagora police station, denied the firing incident altogether.

He also denied that the BJP youth leader was involved in the incident.

“Charan was not present at the spot. He has been named by the victim’s family because of personal enmity,” the SHO said.

The SHO, however, admitted that the BJP youth leader’s brother and a couple of other people had an altercation with the victim and beat him up. Charan has been absconding since then.
