Islamabad: Pakistan’s National Security Committee on Wednesday condemned the alleged violations by India along the Line of Control (LoC).

The NSC meeting, chaired by PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, “condemned unprovoked cross-border firing by Indian forces”, said an official statement.

The NSC meeting took place in the capital where ministers, advisors and all three chiefs of the armed forces were present. Intelligence agencies chiefs and senior military officials also attended the meeting.

“The attendees were briefed about the internal and external security situation. They agreed to continue taking steps for peace process in Afghan-istan, condemning the unprovoked firing across LoC by Indian forces and violation of humanitarian rights in Kashmir,” said the statement.

The NSC related the regional peace with resolution of Kashmir conflict. The heads expressed satisfaction over anti-terrorism operations across the country, it said.

“It has been decided to continue Operation Raddul Fasaad (elimination of discord) and Khyber-IV to eradicate terrorist organisations,” it added.
