CHENNAI: Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited (HCCB), one of India’s leading FMCG companies, has distributed 20,000 kg of dry ration kits in Tiruvallur district, as part of its flood relief initiative following Cyclone Michaung. Exeucted with the support of T Prabhushankar, Collector, Tiruvallur district and in the presence of Rupesh Kumar, Assistant Director of Panchayats, Tiruvallur District; Praveen Kumar, Deputy BDO, Tiruvallur District; and NSJ Premnath, Panchayat President, Nemam, the initiative has been instrumental in aiding the communities affected by the cyclone in the region.

In the wake of the devastating floods, which uprooted lives and hindered access to basic necessities, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) stepped in to provide tangible support. Recognizing the urgent need, HCCB distributed dry ration to help the affected community cope with the aftermath. The dry ration kits included a range of essential items such as rice, pulses, cooking oil, salt, sugar, and other non-perishable food items.

Mr Himanshu Priyadarshi, Chief Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability Officer at HCCB, remarked, “We cherish our long-standing association with Tamil Nadu and are committed to supporting its people in their time of need. We understand that the path to recovery from the floods is long and challenging, and our goal is to walk this path alongside the community, offering support where we can. As the region strives to regain its footing post the cyclone, our commitment to its people remains unwavering.”
