In the past few years, men’s fashion has undergone a significant change. What better way to stand out than with a printed shirt

Print shirts are by design a lot more casual than their dress shirt counterparts. Subtle prints such as polka dots and small motifs in darker colours paired with a blazer, chinos and structured loafers are the easiest way to add some fun to a work-appropriate outfit. Floral prints are a key component to this season’s trends. They add a new life to menswear staples and range from subtle to bold versions. Geometric and aztec prints, large animal, camouflage and abstract printed shirts are the way to go if you’re looking to make heads turn. You can try out moustache, sail boat, puppy, candy and umbrella prints with neutral basics such as slim-fit denims or trousers in essential shades, a beige jacket and nude or brown boots.

The base fabric is important. Chambray or satin prints have more of a sheen and suited to evening wear, whereas jacquard prints are more structured and can be worn through the day.
