Independence Day: Resurgence is finally set to hit homes in India. And who is better to talk about the film other than Liam Hemsworth, who played  the lead Jake Morrison. The Hunger Games actor opens about working on the blue screen, his experience in working with director Rolan Emmerich and more.

What was your reaction when you saw the set for the first time? 
It was pretty incredible — huge and apparently it was around 40 tons I think which is pretty impressive for a set base and I was pretty blown away when I came on the set for the first time and saw it. It’s a lot of fun to shoot it and when you are inside it, it feels like you are in a spaceship. There was so much detail within in everything but it’s a lot of fun as an actor.

How will you characterise Jeff Goldblum as a person? 
Jeff’s attention to detail is unbelievable, he is unbelievable. I have never worked with an actor who is so particular about every little thing in the best way possible; you know he really cares about what you are saying. He cares about  making everything sensible — he has to be able to make sense of it in his head in order to feel good about doing it. It’s a really inspirational quality to have and for a young actor to look upto.

WHat are your thoughts regarding working with the blue screen? 
I mean that’s the thing, there is a lot of stuff we have done in this movie which has been on the blue screen. You really don’t know what’s going on and you kind of talk through it but you have to trust it . 

YOur experience in working with Roland Emmerich?
Roland is one of the best directors in the world doing this sort of thing. He has a vision and I think sometimes it’s hard for other people to see his vision. You can’t see his vision and you can’t know why he is so particular. But you just have to have trust in him. He won’t move on unless he is absolutely sure about what he needs.
