Ranveer Singh to host a Holi bash for popular American singer Pharrell Williams
Pharrell is coming down to India to launch his new clothing line that is inspired by the festival of colours.
Mumbai: To mark the occasion of India's biggest festival, Ranveer Singh will be hosting a special Holi bash this year for American singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams.
According a report in leading daily, the 'Lootera' star is fan of Pharrell Williams and since he will be visiting the country around Holi, Ranveer thought it would be great way to welcome him.
A source close to the development informed the daily, "Yes, it’ll be a big Holi party. Pharrell is coming down to India to launch his new clothing line that is inspired by the festival of colours. Since Pharrell and Ranveer are the brand ambassadors of the same apparel brand, the idea was to bring the two young stars together. And since Pharrell will be in the city on the day of Holi (March 2), what could be better than bringing Ranveer, him and Holi together?"
A source further added, "Like many music lovers, Ranveer, too, loves Pharrell’s work."
After the blockbuster success of 'Padmaavat', Ranveer Singh is currently shooting for Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy'.
'Gully Boy' is inspired by the lives of two rappers - Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the movie will mark Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt's first outing as lead pair onscreen.
The actor will soon get busy with Rohit Shetty's action comedy 'Simmba' and Kabir Khan's Kapil Dev biopic '1983'.
