I bonded with Arjun Kapoor as a friend, says Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor plays both Arjun Kapoor’s chacha and mama in his upcoming film, Mubaarkan. Sharing screen space both Anil and Arjun have bonded over the movie. Both agree that their relationship of uncle and nephew has extended beyond familial connections and has developed into a rock-solid friendship.

Anil confirms, “As you all know, I am still young at heart. My nature is such that I do not wait for anyone to come forward and make friends with me. I like to bond with one and all, irrespective of our age gaps. Similarly, while working with Arjun in the film, Mubarakan, we became more like friends. When the barriers of age and gender get broken, everyone is an equal. Our fondness for each other increased and we share a much better relationship now. Also, since we broke the ice, there’s no awkwardness in the work environment.”

Looking back at his fellow Mubarakan actor’s childhood days, Anil reminisces, “I never thought this guy would become so sincere, hard-working and so focused on his craft. As a kid, he was very fond of good food, better cars and the best gadgets. He would visit the sets and has seen Boney and me working together. He has observed that and imbibed the technical knowledge of filmmaking.”

“One  day, we come to know that he has joined as an assistant director and after that he bagged Ishaqzaade. Since then, there has been no looking back,” concludes the proud uncle.
