Mumbai: Not just launching some of the actors who have gone on to make it big in Bollywood, Yash Raj Films has also worked with them multiple times.

They recently decided to bring back Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Kapoor, who they launched in ‘Ishaqzaade’ for Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ and also paired their ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ girl Anuska Sharma with Varun Dhawan for ‘Sui Dhaaga.’

And now they have decided to cast another of the talents they launched, Vaani Kapoor, in a big film despite their last collaboration ‘Befikre’ flopping at the box office.

Vaani has bagged the lead in the recently announced action film starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, to be directed by Siddharth Anand.

She will be romantically paired opposite Hrithik Roshan.

The makers announced the news on Twitter with a statement in which Anand says, “While the film has two lead actors — Hrithik and Tiger, there is only one girl in the film, who is cast opposite the former. I was looking for young and fresh energy in the casting and I have found that in Vaani.”

He added, “I have loved Vaani as an actor in both her films and after meeting her I was completely convinced that she is the best girl for my film.”

Incidentally, the actress was reportedly in contention for another big film of the banner, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, before Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh were finalised for female parts.

Siddharth Anand's action film is set to release on Republic Day, 2019.
