It’s all in the family for Ayesha Takia

Ayesha Takia always speaks her mind, even at the risk of perhaps offending her family. Her politician father in law, Abu Azmi, is known for making controversial statements, but she has publicly disagreed with him.

“I always feel when there is more than one person in a family who are publicly known, there are bound to be some moments where a difference of opinion will occur. And that’s exactly what happened. We respect each other and have good communication within the family, so it doesn’t matter,” she says.

“Sometimes things are blown out of proportion, and people will always have a different opinion on various issues. You can’t change their perception, but that doesn’t mean you stop loving and respecting them. Like every other family, we talk about it, and then we move on,” Ayesha added.

The 31-year-old actress is currently busy promoting her new single Zindagi Tujhse Kya Karen Shikvey, which is based on girl trafficking.
