Future of 19 IPL games in drought-hit Maharashtra hangs in balance.

The Mumbai Cricket Association, on Tuesday, during hearing of IPL games in Maharasthra, told Bombay High Court that it will only use treated sewage water during the games.

The water will be provided by Royal Western India Turf Club Limited, added MCA.

"This supply of water by RWITC will be sufficient for us to maintain pitches," said the MCA lawyer

"So this will help us to tackle water crisis without using potable water," added the lawyer.BCCI lawyer, meanwhile, told High Court that during 17 IPL games in Mumbai and Pune the Indian cricket board will use the recycled water.

The Kings XI Punjab on Monday had said that it may shift team's games in Maharashtra, keeping in mind the water shortage in the state. The court asked petitioners BCCI to make Vidarbha Cricket Association & Kings XI , parties in matter, to reply by 3pm today.
