Disappointed to leave India so soon: Steve Smith

Rising Pune Supergiants player Steve Smith expressed his disappointment on being ruled out of the Indian Premier League following a wrist injury. The Aussie skipper took to Instagram to post a picture of fans and wrote a message for his fans.

He wrote, “So disappointed to have had to leave India and my team mates at Pune so soon. I love playing in India and the IPL. The passion of the fans is unbelievable and they always make me feel so welcome. I want to thank the owners, team management and the sponsors for everything they did for me during my stay. Hope the Supergiants can make a late run for the finals. See everyone again next year.”

He had been in a phenomenal run in the tournament for an underperforming Rising Pune Supergiants under Dhoni.
