Petrol price up by Rs 3.5, diesel by Rs 5 this year

Petrol price up by 7 paise whereas diesel was raised by 10 paise per litre.

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel price rose again on Tuesday with a climb of 7 paise in petrol costs whereas diesel was raised by 10 paise per litre.

Since the starting of this year, the price of petrol has gone up by about Rs 3.5 a litre and that of diesel by about Rs 5 a litre.

A litre of petrol now costs Rs 72.24 a litre in Delhi, Rs 77.87 in Mumbai, Rs 75.02 in Chennai, Rs 74.64 in Bengaluru and Rs 74.33 in Kolkata.

Diesel, on the other hand, costs Rs 67.64, Rs 70.86, Rs 71.49, Rs 69.88, Rs 69.43 per litre in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru and Kolkata respectively.
