: If news of her getting hitched to entrepreneur Dino Lalvani made you happy, this piece of news will leave you ecstatic. Yes, Lisa Haydon is a family person and will go to any extent to protect her loved ones from anyone who tries to malign them.

In a recent article, a well-known newspaper insinuated that its time for her to say goodbye to Bollywood as she is married to a Pakistani now. That, naturally, did not go down too well with Lisa, who took to Twitter to clarify that her in-laws are just as Indians as anyone else.

She wrote: Dear (newspaper’s name) my husband is Indian. My father in law – Gulu Lalvani, was born in pre partition India and was thrown out of what is today called Pakistan- to call someone who has gone through the struggles of partition non Indian is absurd.

Professionally, Lisa was last seen in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ playing Ranbir Kapoor’s girlfriend and will soon be seen in tv series ‘ The Trip’.
