Priyanka Chopra brought forth her fashion A-game to the high-profile White House Correspondents’ Dinner hosted by Barack and Michelle Obama last week. The actress was invited to what is to be the last such night hosted by the current first couple.

Chopra walked the red carpet in a black Zuhair Murad gown, which had sheer stripes with nude liner running down the length. The 33-year-old star, who plays the lead in TV series Quantico is currently in the US shooting for a Baywatch reboot movie.

Priyanka later posted a picture on her Instagram account and wrote, “Lovely to meet the very funny and charming @barackobama and the beautiful @michelleobama. Thank you for a lovely evening. Cannot wait to start working on your girls education program.”

The gala saw the Obamas hosting a special concert to celebrate International Jazz Day. “Tonight, we are turning this place into the Blues House. I did not issue a new executive order, I just invited all my favorite jazz musicians to play in my backyard,” said Obama as musicians Herbie Hancock, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Aretha Franklin and Hugh Masekela joined in. Franklin opened the night’s proceedings with “A Song for You,” while Morgan Freeman played emcee for the dinner. Obama shared a personal story about his father, whom he did not know well, taking him to his first jazz concert in 1971. The young Obama saw Dave Brubeck perform in Honolulu, Hawaii. “The world that the concert opened up for a 10-year-old boy was spectacular. And I was hooked,” he said.

The dinner was attended by the who’s who of Hollywood. Emma Watson, Will Smith, Tom Hiddleston, Bryan Cranston (of Breaking Bad fame) and wrestler John Cena were among those present at the event.
