London calling for Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi Sinha

Filmmaker Vipul Shah’s successful film Namaste London is currently in talks for a reboot. However, according to reports, the makers are clear that the venture will not be a sequel. The film, which originally starred Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will retain the former but will now have Sonakshi Sinha romancing the actor. The two have done several films together, the last being Holiday directed by A.R. Murugadoss in 2014. The film, titled Namastey England is all set to go on floors in few months.

A source revealed, “Akshay is currently busy with Robot 2 and it’s a film that requires a big chunk of his dates. He is also finishing his guest appearance in Dishoom. He will then be spending some time promoting Housefull 3 and his big independence week release Rustom.”

Meanwhile, Vipul Shah’s production house, which already has more than a few projects in the offing, is also working on the pre-production of Namaste England. The final writing is in process and technical team will be finalised soon. Sonakshi too will be done with her other commitments by then.

“Vipul has decided to shoot the film in London in the month of August. It is the right time to shoot there and he has already locked the dates with the actors. Akshay and Sonakshi will kick off the film’s first schedule there and later come back to shoot the remaining portions in Mumbai.”
