B’wood’s swish set was flown in to Madrid, Spain in full force for the IIFA 2016 awards night. The award show featured some power-packed performances by the likes of Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Sonakshi Sinha and Salman Khan. The green carpet for the show was buzzing with stars before the event kicked off with the ever-flamboyant actor Ranveer Singh, who sported quirky crown-shaped sunglasses, regaling the media with his antics. His Lootera co-star, Sonakshi Sinha too posed to her heart’s content with her mother Poonam. Salman Khan seemed in a cheerful mood, but skipped media interaction.

The night’s hosts Farhan Akhtar and Shahid Kapoor did a great job keeping the audience occupied with their witty jibes and even ad-libbed parts when the tele-prompter didn’t work. The two called themselves Pappy and Raju and almost improvised on their scripts for the whole night.

But the highlight of the night was the power-packed performances from the industry stars. Bollywood’s dancing machine Hrithik Roshan did what he does best and impressed the audience with his killer moves and danced to some of his hit numbers such as Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Bang Bang. Priyanka Chopra was in her element and regaled the crowd with a killer combination of her moves and her voice and even walked down to the stands and shook a leg with Anil Kapoor for Dil Dhadakne Do’s dance numbers. B-town’s new dance sensation Tiger Shroff was once again impressive with his tribute to the king of pop Michael Jackson, while Sonakshi paid a tribute to Sridevi. However, the best performance of the night, undoubtedly was Deepika Padukone, who burned the house down with her powerful performance on Malhari.

Salman Khan ended proceedings in style and surprised every one with his moves dancing on Tadap Tadap from Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
