Bollywood mourns Rajjat Barjatya

After a prolonged fight with cancer, Rajjat Barjatya, the CEO and MD of Rajshri Entertaiment Pvt Ltd, breathed his last on Friday evening around 6.30 pm. The Barjatya scion, who is survived by his wife Neha and two daughters, had been admitted in Jaslok Hospital just a few days prior to his demise.

Rajjat, was heading the online division of Rajshri.

He was also known for his fondness for Hindi classic songs and movies, particularly for Shammi Kapoor. An employee of his company told us, “Rajjat wasn’t keeping well ever since his cancer relapsed earlier this year. He stopped coming to office two months ago. He had been admitted for treatment but things weren’t looking too well.”

He also co-produced films such as Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Apke Hain Kaun and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The funeral was held at Worli crematorium on Saturday afternoon. Salman Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Kunal Kohli, Boman Irani, Richa Chadha, Shirish Kunder and others expressed their condolence to the family over his sudden demise.
