Anurag Kashyap to play villain in Tamil flick

Critically acclaimed director, Anurag Kashyap, is all set to make his debut as an actor in a Tamil movie, to be directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, Imaikaa Nodigal. Anurag is reportedly playing the role of the antagonist, called Rudra, in the movie. However, the makers are yet to come up with an official confirmation for the recent events.

Touted to be a thriller, Imaikaa Nodigal stars Atharvaa, Nayantharam and Raashi Khanna in lead roles. Initially, director Gautham Menon was rumoured to play the villain in the movie.

Acting is not a new venture for the Ugly director, who has played several cameos in his directorial ventures, including Black Friday. Anurag’s recent performance as the villain in A.R. Murugadoss’ Akira was received well by audiences and critics too.
