Anupam Kher is on to the big time in Hollywood. Barely had we digested the startling news of his principal role in the Hollywood blockbuster Mumbai Hotel based on the 9/11 terror attack on Taj Hotel, than news comes that he will star in yet another large scale Hollywood production.
Titled Big Sick, the film will see Anupam play a Pakistani father to the celebrated Pakistani-American stand-up comedian Kumail Nanjiani.
“Big Sick is a very special film because it is my 500th film. I also get to share screen space with some of Hollywood’s biggest talents including the legendary actress Holly Hunter, Ray Romano from Everybody Loves Raymond, and Zoe Kazan, who is the celebrated playwright-author Elia Kazan’s grand-daughter. Just spending time with them is going to be so enriching for me. Then I have a fabulous role,” says Anupam enthusiastically.
