Ali Fazal and Lauren Gottlieb go on a blind date

Ali Fazal, who has been making quite a splash in the realm of web series, will be seen in a short film next, opposite Lauren Gottlieb. The unusual pair has been roped in by Vinay Vats for his directorial debut titled Triya Charitra. Vinay had earlier assisted Tigmanshu Dhulia in Paan Singh Tomar. In the short film Ali and Lauren will be playing a couple brought together by a blind date. The film goes on to show how a single night changes their lives forever. The film will be produced by Purvi Lavingia Vats who is a renowned Hollywood casting director.

Speaking of the film, Ali said, “This is as twisted and as simple as it gets. I have been waiting to work with Vinay Vats and Lauren’s got a lovely vibe. I am looking forward to this collaboration.” Lauren has a substantial role to play in this. “Vinay told me that he needed to cast his female lead first as the story revolves around her. This is the time that I will be exploring the thriller genre.” The director cannot wait to roll. “This is the first time that Lauren and Ali will be seen together. I am looking forward to beginning the film.”
