Mumbai: A notice was issued by the Supreme Court on Friday to former BCCI president N Srinivasan and honorary secretary of Saurashtra CA Niranjan Shah. The Supreme Court argued to the fact as to how the duo could have been representatives of the state associations, if they had been disqualified as office-bearers.

The top court was hearing a complaint by the Committee of Administrators (CoA) that they “hijacked” the Special General Meeting on June 26.

The matter has been posted next for July 24.

N Srinivasan is nominated from the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association. Niranjan Shah is honorary secretary of the Saurashtra Cricket Association.

Srinivasan's counsel Kapil Sibal had earlier stated the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association was right to nominate him for BCCI's Special General Meeting.
