Anindith Reddy lit up the car racing track here on Saturday with two top podium finishes in the third and penultimate round of Euro JK 16 in 19th JK Tyre-FMSCI National Racing Championship at Kari Motor Speedway here. The 26-year-old Hyderabadi driver braved stormy conditions to finish 15 laps with a timing of 17.20.512 in the concluding Euro JK 16 race of the day to cap of an adventurous day.
Reddy was pushed hard by Ananth Shanmugam and Mohammed Nalwalla who remained contend with second and third finish on the podium. Bengaluru's Shanmugam recorded the second fastest lap with a timing of 1.01.83 on the tenth lap and finished the race in 17.22.979 minutes.
The birthday boy Nalwalla from Mumbai clocked 17.23.637 with his fastest lap of 1.02.471 minutes.
Reddy who also won the opening race ahead of Shanmugam and Nalwalla, jumped to number three in the tussle for the Euro JK 16 crown. He has 58 points now and two more races to go through on Sunday to set himself up for striking gold in final round at the Buddh International Circuit next month.
