Keira Knightley wearing wigs for past five years

Actress Keira Knightley is known for her stunning natural beauty on the big screen and the red carpet.

But when it comes to her haircare routine, it isn’t always so natural. And for her, there’s zero shame in that game./She says she had to start wearing wigs after suffering from major hairfall. The 31-year-old Begin Again actress said that preparing to take on the roles had an adverse effect as her locks began to fall out.

“I have dyed my hair virtually every color imaginable for different films. It got so bad that my hair literally began to fall out of my head! So for the past five years I’ve used wigs, which is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to my hair,” Knightley said.

Even though her hairs are improving now, the actress finds it tough to deal with her curly locks. “I have naturally crazy, curly hair, and since I’ve had the baby it’s become 10 times thicker.

So now I’ve been finding quite a lot of dreadlocks,” she said. Since giving birth to daughter Edie last summer, the 31-year-old actress says that her beauty regimen has become a bit more relaxed and does find that her hair sometimes suffers.

“I have naturally crazy, curly hair, and since I’ve had the baby it’s become 10 times thicker,” she explains. “So now I’ve been finding quite a lot of dreadlocks.”

She adds, “My new approach is, ‘Do what you can remember, and don’t worry about it too much.’” Knightley also reveals the best beauty advice she’s ever received. “I was told very early on that if a make-up artist tries to take your eyebrows off,” she quips, “That means he or she is absolute s**t.”

We always applaud showing off natural hair, but it’s also refreshing when one of our style role models reveals her true haircare struggles. And wig or not, Knigh-tley’s gorgeous hairstyles over the years prove she certainly knows what she’s doing, reports The Huffington Post.
