Lucknow: A rape victim pleaded for three days for the police to register her complaint and finally succeed when she walked into the police station with a severed ear of the rapist. The incident took place in Aligarh and the rape victim said that she was sleeping in her house in Dautauli village when four men barged into her house and raped her on Monday night.

The husband, who was sleeping outside the house, rushed inside on hearing her cries for help but was assaulted by the accused.

The woman said that while resisting the rape attempt, she had bitten off the ear of one of the rapists. The police, however, did not register her complaint and on Friday, the woman and her husband went to meet SSP Rajesh Pandey with the severed ear as proof of the incident. The SSP immediately got a FIR registered against four accused that have been named and investigations have begun.
