BJP president Amit Shah could reorganise the organisation and also announce the reconstituted national executive soon. The newly-reconstituted national executive could also meet in the second week of next month.

Also, the party’s national general secretaries are expected to meet on Tuesday to decide how to mark the two-year completion of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre.

The last national executive was held on March 19-20 in the national capital. Though the party’s constitution states that the national executive should meet every three months, the practice is not followed strictly. The last executive meeting had happened almost a year after the previous one in Bengaluru.

Speculation is also rife that the expansion and reshuffle of the Union council of ministers could also take place by this month-end and some of the ministers could be brought back in the organisation while some new faces could be inducted in the Union council of ministers.

Results of the ongoing Assembly polls in the four states of Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal and the Union Territory of Puducherry will also be out by next week and the national executive could see party leadership taking necessary action, including revaming of the state organisations and other organisational issues.
