The RSS top brass, including Bhaiyya Joshi and Krishna Gopal, is likely to discuss with BJP president Amit Shah the agenda for the crucial RSS-BJP “Samanvya Baithak” on late Thursday evening. Mr Shah has reached Bhopal where the RSS leadership is holding a two-day-long review meeting with the party’s state leadership. Mr Shah, sources disclosed, will meet the RSS top brass separately, where he is also likely to discuss names of leaders who will be inducted in the Central team. Mr Shah’s much-awaited new team, it was learnt, will be announced by the end of this month.

The crucial RSS-BJP “Samanvaya Baithak (coordination committee meeting)” is likely to take place next week where key issues related to the organisation, review of states units, coordination between the ruling party and the RSS are expected to be taken up for discussion. In this meeting, Kashmir situation, dalit unrest and party’s preparedness for the upcoming Assembly elections, including in Uttar Pradesh, are also going to be discussed.

Mr Shah, sources said, will also brief the RSS top brass about the just-concluded meeting of the core group leaders of the party’s state units. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also attended this meeting where he had told party leaders that “nationalism” was BJP’s “identity” and “nation building” was its priority. The exercise was part of the party’s preparedness for the upcoming electoral battles, as well as the 2019 general elections.
