5 Weddings actress Saru Maini relates to her movie character, is same even off-camera

Saru Maini, most popular as a Bollywood singer, is soon going to turn an actress in the Hollywood crossover movie 5 Weddings.

The movie is directed by Namrata Singh Gujral and Saru will be sharing screen space with Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri.

Saru recently revealed that the character she is playing in the movie is similar to her in real life.

She plays a singer who performs at weddings with her own songs, which is also quite visible in the first song Laung Gawacha from the film. The singer-actress, in an interview, said that she is very popular for performing at her friends’ weddings.

Saru also went on to add that she is so comfortable with the cameras that her personality doesn’t change even when the cameras aren’t rolling.
