Bengaluru: Deloitte’s sixth annual 'Millennial Survey' reveals that the millennials in India are likely to be the biggest endorsers of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and robotics as they feel less threatened by its progress.

Over 83 per cent of millennials feel that AI will boost the overall productivity of their work and 77 per cent of milennials believe that robotics will improve the economic growth.

“We have witnessed a dramatic shift in the personal concerns and attitudes of millennials”, said S.V. Nathan, chief talent officer and partner, Deloitte India.

“While the survey does not reflect the economic disruption announced in India last November, such anxieties are responsible for more young professionals wanting to remain in their jobs.”

However, according to the research, millennials in India are optimistic about the country’s growth, compared to their global counterparts.

Over 68 per cent of the millennials in India are hopeful that the overall social or political situation in the country will improve in the next one year.

“Financially, 78 per cent millennials in India are happier than their parents, while 55 per cent of millennials are emotionally happier than their parents,” according to the Deloitte’s annual  millenial research.

“This is in stark contrast to global figures, where only 26 per cent of millennials predict they will be financially better off than their parents and 23 per cent say they’ll be happier.”
