No Shah Rukh Khan-Sunny Leone chemistry across the border

Sunny Leone will be seen sizzling with Shah Rukh Khan in an item song in Rahul Dholakia’s Raees, but unfortunately, their fans in Pakistan won’t get to witness their chemistry unfold on screen. That’s because in the version that will release in Pakistan, this song will be snipped off.

A source in the know says, “Raees has a deep Pakistan connection. The film’s leading lady Mahira Khan is from Pakistan and the protagonist is a Muslim businessman. The makers feel that Sunny’s sequence may be a little risque for the Pakistani audience.”

It seems the item number was an afterthought of sorts. Leading lady Mahira’s character, the makers concurred, was way too sedate to be seductive. A source close to the project, says, “Everyone from Shah Rukh, to director Rahul Dholakia and producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani felt that the film needed that sizzling number, that tadka. And that’s how Sunny Leone came into the picture.”
