After John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi, it seems like the Bhatts have a new poser boy — model-turned-actor Gaurav Arora. His debut film, Love Games (featuring Patralekha), releases on April 1, but he has already been signed on for another popular franchise — Raaz Reboot — with Emraan. In a chat with us Gaurav talks about working with the Bhatts and more:

Were you always interested in acting on the big screen Always. I enjoyed modelling, but knew that it was a stepping stone into the film industry for me. If you look back, there have been quite a few male models who have become actors, be it John Abraham or Dino Morea.

You started modelling in 2007. Why did it take you so long to make uour way to B’wood I am from a small place — Mungaoli, in Madhya Pradesh. When I came to Mumbai in 2007, I had no clue about films and the people around. I didn’t know anyone from the industry and had no friends. So it took me a while.

Did you ever have to face the casting couch in your modelling days The casting couch does exist, I won’t deny that but I believe it’s you who allow it to happen. I have seen it happening around me but it is about my priorities.

How did you meet the Bhatts When I was modelling, I used to do TV commercials and theatre. I auditioned for Aashiqui 2 and that’s where I met (Mahesh) Bhatt saab. The audition went well but somehow it didn’t work out. Then Vikram Bhatt was auditioning for Love Games and I got a call from Vishesh Films again. I actually got my debut film in just five minutes. Soon after, Vikram told me that I had to meet Mahesh Bhatt and he liked me so much.

What is your debut film Love Games all about The film is a love triangle. It is the story of a guy who is a drug addict and a spoilt brat and of his journey from lust to love.

Were you nervous while giving your first shot on camera Since I had worked so hard for my Bollywood debut, I came prepared. Interestingly, on the fourth day of the Love Games shoot, Vikram sir offered me Raaz 4. I feel so lucky!

How was your experience working with Patralekha Patralekha never made me feel like I was a newcomer. She is really sweet and hard working. It was nice working with her.

Do you see yourself as a “Bhatt franchise actor” I would love to be their franchise actor. They have given me two film so quickly, when even established actors have to wait so long.

Tell us something about your role in Raaz Reboot. I can’t talk much about it right now. All the three characters are prominent including Emraan Hashmi’s. My character has grey shades.

The Bhatts are known to add a lot of erotic scenes to their films. Are you ready to do steamy scenes on screen Love Games and Raaz Reboot are different films. I won’t mind doing steamy scenes if done in a good way.
