Twitterati wasted no time to troll Akmal.

Last year, a video of Umar doing something similar had been uploaded by the cricketer himself.

The 28-year-old said in June that he regularly received offers to fix games against India and that he had always rejected them, but he could be in hot water with both the PCB and International Cricket Council if he failed to report such approaches.

Last year, the 28-year-old also failed to make the cut in Pakistan’s ICC Champions Trophy squad due to fitness issues, and Haris Sohail had made way for him.

So far, Umar has played 16 Tests, 116 ODIs and 82 Tests. He has 34 half-centuries and three centuries across the three international formats to his name.
