NanoFlowcell has unveiled its Quant 48Volt supercar which runs on a combination of positive and negative electrolyte fluids. Quant 48Volt promises an environmentally friendly experience which doesn’t compromise on performance or range.

The Quant 48Volt’s 760bhp engine can accelerate the car from 0-60 in a blistering 2.4 seconds. The top speed is a limited 186mph and has a range of a staggering 621 miles,

While the company has previously developed “flow-cell” cars, the latest prototype is the first to promise this kind of performance. It is leveraging its new innovative motors, an upgraded cell membrane and six of the cells needed to make its technology work.

Because it is a concept, NanoFlowcell hasn’t said anything about release dates or pricing. However, there are more than a few obstacles to getting a production-ready Quant 48Volt on the road. There is also a question of infrastructure. The company says that existing petrol stations are capable of supplying these fluids, which means convincing the petrol stations to switch pumps to brand new technology offered only by one automaker.
